SM 0047 - Takeuchi Milestone Image LR WebNagano, Japan, June 2014 – Takeuchi Manufacturing Co Ltd of Japan has produced its 250,000th unit at its Murukami plant in Nagano, Japan.

Akio Takeuchi, president of Takeuchi manufacturing company, said it has taken 43 years to reach this remarkable milestone since the company produced the first mini excavator in 1971.

“The commitment and dedication of all our customers and staff throughout the world has allowed Takeuchi to achieve this production milestone and fulfil a commitment to Takeuchi users around the globe.

“We are deeply aware that our ability to reach this milestone results from the trust and support of our dealer network and customers over the past decades,” said Mr Takeuchi.

Graham Murphy of Takeuchi distributor, Semco, said Takeuchi’s focus is to build machines that incorporate solutions into every component and feature, with a design philosophy built around the four pillars of performance, durability, serviceability and operator comfort.

Takeuchi manufacturing began in 1963, making the company a pioneer in the compact equipment industry.
The world’s first compact excavator was developed by Takeuchi in 1970 and its innovation continued again in the mid-80’s with the introduction of the first compact track loader.

“These two product lines have transformed the Australian construction equipment markets and have positioned Takeuchi as a leading provider of compact equipment.

“Australian contractors and equipment owners have long recognised the high performance, outstanding reliability and retained value of Takeuchi equipment. Those who use the equipment generally trade up to a later high capacity model based on their positive experience,” Murphy said.
