Sydney, April 2014 – In a move to bring cropping machinery expertise to growers, Tony Bautovich has joined Semco as Area Manager Agricultural to promote sales of its New Holland Agriculture products.
Tony brings with him almost 20 years of experience in agriculture; owning two farms in regional New South Wales for 14 years, and more recently selling agricultural equipment for Southern Cross Mowers.
Focusing primarily on agriculture tractors, Tony’s key aim is to bring the New Holland equipment to the farmers in the Sydney Greater Metropolitan area, better servicing local farmers to provide them with exactly the equipment they need.
“NSW growers know their market and know what equipment they need”, Tony said. “Nowadays farmers are meticulous with their efficiencies, such as better spray control. With New Holland, we can supply them with the tractor that can do precisely what they require, backed by the full Semco service network.”
New Holland has a long-standing reputation of global excellence in agricultural equipment. Committed to providing solutions that improve farming efficiency and productivity by using accessible technology, Tony hopes to bring this excellence to the Sydney basin food growing industry, educating farmers on the possibilities that this brand affords.
“My primary role will be illustrating to the market the capacities of New Holland equipment, going out and talking to the farmers,” Tony explains. “Many growers are yet to hear of New Holland and the huge capabilities this machinery offers to the modern farmer.”
Yet as a farmer himself, Tony is well aware that no two farms are alike. “Some bigger farms will have a machine specific for every task where the implements stay on the machine. But at other places, farmers are trying to do everything with one or two tractors, constantly swapping attachments to achieve different tasks,” says Tony.
“With the full support of Semco’s extensive network, we are able to provide exactly the combination required, no matter how different that may be.”
